چکیده

In the current study, four organic solvents, including ethanol, methanol, acetone, and diethyl ether, were used to extract turmeric, wheat bran, taro peel. The efficiency of three different concentrations each solvent was assessed for their antifungal anti-mycotoxin production against Aspergillus flavus. results indicated that 75% ethanolic 25% methanolic extracts peels turmeric active fungus growth, which showed smallest fungal dry weight ratios 1.61 2.82, respectively. Furthermore, best result (90.78%) in inhibiting aflatoxin B1 production. After 30 days grain storage, (AFB1) effectively inhibited, average inhibition ratio ranged between 4.46% 69.01%. Simultaneously, Topsin fungicide resulted an 143.92%. Taro (25% acetone) produced highest total phenolic content (61.28 mg GAE/g wt.) antioxidant capacity 7.45 ?g/mL, followed by ethanol (49.82 GAE/g), revealed (74.16 ?g/mL). RT-qPCR analysis expression aflD, aflP, aflQ (structural genes) aflR aflS (regulatory down-regulated significantly compared both untreated Topsin-treated maize grains. Finally, all plant could be as promising source materials potential products control formation, thus creating a safer method storage environment than currently protective method.

The antifungal and antiaflatoxigenic effects of two series of coumarinyl thiosemicarbazides on Aspergillus flavus NRRL 3251 were studied. Fungi were grown in YES medium for 72 h at 29 °C in the presence of 0, 0.1, 1, and 10 μg mL-1 of coumarinyl thiosemicarbazides: one series with substitution in position 7 and another with substitution in position 4 of the coumarin core. Dry mycelia weight det...

Antifungal activity of plant extracts against dermatophytes.

The aqueous extracts (15 micrograms ml-1 medium) of 22 plants used in folkloric medicine in Palestine were investigated for their antifungal activity and minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) against nine isolates of Microsporum canis, Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Trichophyton violaceum. The extract of the different plant species reduced colony growth of the three dermatophytes by 36 to 1...
